Inspection: Hermès Kelly Cut

I adore classic luggage with unconventional”twists”, although this bag might not be as”out there” as one may expect, it is absolutely not your regular H colour, which might just give it enough advantage to make it part of my permanent collection. Rewind to my first school years, I had been working in a little consignment boutique and came across a bag in Hermes'”Griolet” colour, it was love at first sight.

Instead I had been presented with a choice: the chance arose to own one of my discontinued holy grails in brand-new condition but I’d need to sell my three remaining Chanel pieces (all vintage) to fund this solitary Hermès clutch. Thread, in which I not only found my response, but found that plenty of different members were contemplating doing the same. So now that I’ve successfully bagged the clutch (pun intended), I thought I would give it a thorough review to help anyone else contemplating doing the same.

I love classic luggage with unconventional”spins”, and though this bag might not be as”out there” as you may expect, it’s definitely not your everyday H colour, which could just give it enough edge to make it a part of my permanent collection. Rewind to my early school years, I was working at a little consignment boutique and stumbled upon a purse in Hermes'”Griolet” color, it had been love at first sight. Ever since that time, I have been waiting for the stars (well, the resale market and my wallet) to align, but it didn’t really happen as planned.

Instead I was presented with a choice: the chance arose to own one of my long discontinued holy grails in brand-new condition but I’d have to sell my three remaining Chanel pieces (all classic ) to fund this single Hermès clutch. Obviously, I turned to my fellow Purseforum associates for advice and started the”Selling all my Chanel for another Hermès ??” Thread, where I not only found my response, but discovered that plenty of different members were contemplating doing the same. So now that I’ve successfully bagged the clutch (pun intended)I thought I would give it a detailed review to assist anyone else considering doing the same.
If you have read my previous review on the Bottega Veneta Pouch, you understand I am all for a mid sized clutch. And though this Kelly Cut appears to be in a rather odd color, this combo had been on my wishlist for quite a while.

With its simple design and convenient top handle, it did not take long for this particular tote to become one of the most used bits. The Griolet and Silver hardware mix helped make this bag simple to style, as its lively yet”neutral adjoining” mauve like colour obviously pairs well with most of my wardrobe. The tote’s minimal nature and silky smooth texture also made it quite easy to integrate into looks, and include an enjoyable pop of colour.
